Parking at Venue
As with most industrial areas parking is a premium during the weekdays, but is much less busy on the weekends especially after midday on Saturday. Our estate is no different and there are parking restrictions along some of the roads Monday through Saturday up to 6.30pm, Sunday has no parking restrictions along any of the roads and the estate is barely used by traffic.
Big Battles has agreements with several of our neighbours to use their spaces on the evenings and weekends.
Below is a map showing the available parking spaces close to our unit (green outlines), on Sundays both Eliott Road and Love Lane offer unrestricted on road parking, these are a short walk from our location – so drop off any heavy items at venue first.
Please note that while our neighbours have been kind enough to allow us to use their parking spaces on the evenings and weekends, please note that two spaces for unit 2 are not available to us – as they are also a wargames company (Simon and Sue from Blotz) and work weekends.
Below is a close up map of parking spaces immediately near our venue, the road map has green lines to show where on road parking is available when parking restrictions are in force (Mon-Sat 6.30pm). For example the walk from Elliot road to Big Battles is less than 5 mins (0.2miles).
Food & Drink nearby
We offer free hot and cold refreshments for all bookings at Big Battles..

- Munch (sandwiches)
- Gilos Meze
- Dolcetti Ice Cream Parlour
- Rave Coffee
- Jesse Smith Farm Shop (butchers)
- Coffee at Odd Socks
Within 10 mins walk – but probably best you drive there to minimise down time in gaming! – are a chippy, McDonalds, Tesco, and a Petrol Garage shop (but better off going to lidl 100yds away!).
As you would expect there is a multitude of accommodation in and around Cirencester from B&B, air BNB, Premier Inn and independent hotels and pubs, though do book early as its a popular destination especially in summer.
Additionally Swindon is a 15min drive away offering even more accommodation and usually at a more competitive price – the Premier Inn North Swindon, is right on the A419 and just under a 15min drive to Big Battles and has two good pubs within 5 mins walk (Cold Harbour and Heart in Hand) and is frequently used by gamers visiting us.
Curry Houses in Cirencester/Swindon
While Cirencester as a limited number of curry houses they are quite good, Swindon on the other hand is spoilt for choice with curry houses, including a couple of Nepalese.
Speak to Andy or Derek and they can advise.
